Turbine Engine

Turbine Engine Sector (TES): Our Sterling Engineering subsidiary specializes in the machining and assembly of rotating parts for the jet engine, rotary wing aircraft, and ground power industries. Core competencies include the 5-axis milling and VTL turning (up to 78” in diameter) of aluminum, steel, titanium, and exotic materials, as well as sinker EDM services. Beginning in Q1 of 2022, our TES will vertically integrate processing services, including painting.

In 2022, the Company installed an environmentally-controlled paint cell, with two ovens, and CNC masking capability. Other processes will be vertically integrated in 2024, to improve product lead times and to mitigate risk.
